To be human is to experience life in all its colours and emotions. Like ever-evolving clouds, feelings come and go, drifting in intensity and dissolving in time. Both are a natural process, colouring our world and our lives.

‘In The Shadow Of The Clouds’ represents a moment where the artist’s solace and acceptance of significant loss co-existed. This large-scale tapestry became the artist’s journal as she navigated through loss and the subsequent grief.

To be ‘In The Shadow Of The Clouds’ is an opportunity to reflect on lost loved ones yet stay deeply connected with them. Being in partial darkness is only fleeting and temporary, and there is comfort in how shade can offer feelings of peace and protection.

It is a tender reminder where there is shadow, there is always light. On a bright day, clouds cast shadows upon the earth, and when clouds fill the sky, the sun still shines from above. This duality of light and dark is perpetual, constantly shifting and transforming.
