Phonetically pronounced “Da-laa-win” - meaning ‘to visit’ in Tagalog.
“It is only when I least expect that a fluttering figure appears. It flies close to my face and begins to circle me,
immediately expelling all doubts and fears. The moment is fleeting, filling my heart with utmost joy, comfort and relief.
A hello from beyond the veil; I feel his energy and see his smile. I thank him for visiting, and the winged
creature flutters away. Until next time.”

“We commissioned Lauren and Kass to create an artwork for a blank wall on our staircase; they created a piece of art that has been woven with much love and intention, with their own story intertwined with ours.
The entire process was very collaborative and so smooth. We provided an initial brief input regarding concepts, colours and textures and Lauren and Kass interpreted this brief perfectly.
The end result was ‘DALAWIN’, which means ‘to visit’ in Tagalog. This artwork and its meaning resonates deeply with us; a constant yet gentle reminder that we are ‘visiting’ in this life and to make the most of it while leaving as light a footprint as possible.
‘DALAWIN’ is unique and dramatic, and the interplay between light and shadow during the day gives it personality, life and vitality.
‘DALAWIN’ complements the contemporary design and palette in our home. Thank you so much Lauren & Kass for creating such a meaningful, unique piece. It is absolutely stunning and we are so thrilled with it!”
