Australia

Welcome! Crossing Threads is the collaborative work of Lauren and Kassandra Hernandez, Australian-born sisters of Filipino heritage based in Sydney.

'DUALITY' SOLO EXHIBITION 2020

We were kindly invited to take part in our first solo exhibition, that showcased at Gallery76 in Concord West! During the month of February we showcased never-seen-before work and pulled together our collection which spoke from the heart. Celebrating the innovative use of up-cycled materials, we explore our unconditional relationship as sisters and the reconciliation of the Australian-Filipino identity.

DUALITY ARTIST TALK SERIES

Hobby to side-hustle, Crossing Threads has evolved to a commercially viable business that services interior design firms and both domestic and international clientele. Featured in The Design Files, SBS Australia, ModernMet, In Her Studio and magazines such as Inside Out and Home Beautiful, the sisters have also recently collaborated with Wrangler Australia.

The sisters candidly share their experience of working together and how they came to define their version of ‘success’.
Artists talk series are now complete. But if you are interested to book us for an event to share how you can elevate your art or creative practice to the next level, email hello@crossingthreads.co.
